In Week 1, I created several HTML pages, assigned them appropriate names, and linked them together. After establishing the connections, I added relevant content to each page. Finally, I included an image to enhance the site's visual appeal.
In Week 2, I enhanced the website by adding a fully functional navigation system. I also created custom stylesheets to make the site visually appealing and engaging. Lastly, I developed a new HTML page titled "Weekly Edits" to keep the lecturer informed about the changes I made.
In Week 3, I added more relevant images to each page and focused on resizing them to facilitate the creation of an image map. I linked an image to another HTML page on the homepage, allowing users to navigate by clicking on my face. Additionally, I explored various techniques for optimising images, ensuring they were appropriately sized and maintained high quality for the project.
In Week 4, I created a new HTML page, Sweet Strawberry Waffles, dedicated entirely to this delightful treat. I also enhanced the page by linking the waffle image to a video tutorial, making learning how to prepare this delicious dish easy.
In Week 5, I ensured the website layout was consistent by linking all pages into one Stylesheet because before, I had multiple for each page. So now my pages look all consistent.
In Week 6, I completed a usability review of Nadia's website as part of the assignment to analyse and provide feedback on a peer's site. This involved evaluating aspects such as the prominence of key terms, clarity of clickable elements, navigation ease, and overall design consistency. I documented my findings in a detailed, scan-friendly review that included suggestions for improvement, such as enhancing visual design, enriching content, and optimising navigation. The review was published as a new page on my website, linked in the menu for easy access. This task deepened my understanding of web usability principles and strengthened my skills in creating user-friendly web content.
