My Studies!

I am a third year student of the Art, Culture and Media Studies. Currently I am doing my minor in Media Studies.

Arts, Culture and Media

Within Arts, Culture and Media I decided to follow the film and literature track as I would like to work within Tv and Film industries. I do not have a particular preference what part of the industry i'd like to work in. Within my film courses I focus on problems of disability, horror films, queerness and psychology. Most of these subjects interest me due to personal involvement, or the fact that I just enjoy looking at incredibly messed up things in films.

My greatest enjoyment in art and film is looking into the Uncanny Valley. This phenomena is very interesting to me as it has such great effects on the human psyche. And looking at how poorly people from marginalised groups still get treated in much of the popular media of today.

Media Studies

For my minor I do Media Studies as it felt like it fit the best with my plans for the future and the masters I wish to do. I have continued my focus on queerness within these studies, although I have not had the chance to do much of essay writing for now.
Ive enjoyed some of the courses, although the Webdesign course does intrigue me the most for now. This is actually quite fun!
