About us

We are a Groningen based non-profit group working to improve the health and thus quality of media journalism.

We started out in the summer of 2020 and have since then grown to an organisation of 4 permanent staff-members and many volunteers.

These staff-members are:

Caroline (Carrie) Braadstra

General manager at Happenings@050. Carrie has a great social network and is present on every (online) social evenement in Groningen.

People love her enthusiasm for Groningen and its energy. Besides being director, she is also a part-time photographer and has published 2 acclaimed coffee table books with her pictures.

In these award-winning photos, you can see her keen eye for detail.

Lotte van der Jorke

In Lotte's every day life she is an artist who is very active on social media.
Her Instagram account has more than 137.000 followers (and counting).

In her posts she discusses art pieces and reviews media events and expositions.

You should always be careful what you tell her. Before you know it, she'll post about what you said. So make sure you stay on her positive side.

Miranda Hops

Miranda, or Mira to her friends, is a presenter at OOG TV, a regional TV station.

Not a day is the same for her and that is what she loves about her job.
This media event is the sole reason she is learning about HTML and CSS.

Sam Jansen

Sam is the technology wizard of the organization, and marvels at everything to do with media and computers.

He also maintains a popular YouTube channel where he discusses the latest streaming equipment.
