9:30 - 12:00 | Session 3: ASMR and Immersive Audio Speaker: Clau Nader (University of York) |
Clau Nader discusses the rise of ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) and how ASMR sensations can be explained by science. Participants experience different ASMR sounds and discuss their effects. |
12:00 - 13:00 | Lunch Break | Opportunity to network with speakers and other participants. |
13:00 - 15:30 | Session 4: Sound in Human Interaction Speaker: Dr. Michael Schutz (McMaster University) |
Dr. Schutz investigates how rhythm, tone, and gesture affect human interaction and explains how sound and movement convey emotions. Participants explore these elements through an exercise on non-verbal communication. |
15:30 - 16:00 | Coffee break | Time to relax and reflect on the afternoon session. |
16:00 - 17:00 | Assignment announcement and reflection | At the end of the day, speakers announce assignments for participants to complete based on the second day's sessions. These assignments are due within 4 weeks. |
