Nicola Dibben

Professor Nicola Dibben

Professor of Music at the University of Sheffield, Nicola Dibben is a leading expert in music psychology. Her work focuses on how people perceive and interpret music, especially in relation to identity and worldview. She has authored over 70 publications, including the book Björk (2009) and co-authored Music and Mind in Everyday Life (2010). She collaborated with artist Björk on the multimedia project Biophilia (2011). In 2022, she received an honorary doctorate from the University of Oslo.

Timothy Gentner

With a background in sound design and psychology, Clau emphasizes inclusivity and creative expression, particularly among marginalized groups.

Michael Schutz

Dr. Michael Schutz

Professor of Music Cognition and Percussion at McMaster University, Dr. Schutz directs the MAPLE Lab. His research combines music, perception, and communication—exploring how rhythm, tone, and gesture convey emotion. He is known for investigating the interplay between visual and auditory cues in human interaction and is also an award-winning performer and educator.
