MEMORY

ABOUT MEMORY:

Memories are stored in the human brain. It is the processing of information. Memories can be divided into long- and short-term memories. They are personal and make us who we are. People can have different memories of the same event. Some memories are living vividly in our brain while others seem to fade away. To get a grip on how memory is used in combination with art, you can find six terms which are connected to this subject: Collective Memory, Counter-Memory, Nostalgia, Memento Mori, Memorials, and Amnesia.
