Logbook

On this page I will log any changes to my website, it will be updated weekly.

Week 1
In the first I made baseline HTML for my website. I made four different pages: the homepage; about me; my favorite books; and where to find me. On pages, other than the index page, I added a link back to my homepage. I did some basic layout coding: I added my icon to the top of my page, shaped as a circle; I chose a background color making use of hex color codes.

Week 2
This week I made an external stylesheet and I made use of DIV elements to position my websites' layout. Furthermore, I made sure my webpage had a consistent style, making use of the same font, colors, and positioning on all different pages through my stylesheet. Through my stylesheet I made sure my links now had colors that fit the aesthetic of my page, also adding different colors when hovering over a link. The link back to my homepage now is an icon of a home instead of the word "home". The links on my "where to find me" page now open on a new tab.

Week 3
This week I took an image and cropped it so that it would fit on my page; I chose 400px400px dimensions. Then I made a smaller thumbnail of this image (100px) and made it look like a bubblegum bubble. I placed this on my index page. This bubble has a link that takes my webpage visitors to my "image map". In this picture visitors can click certain parts and then be redirected to other links. If a visitor clicks the headphones, they will be redirected to my favorite band. If a visitor clicks the eyes, they will be redirected to my (current) favorite series. If a visitor clicks the mouth, they will be redirected to my favorite drink. I made sure all these links open in a new tab. I also added a little hint at the bottom of the image so that visitors will know where to click.

Week 4
This week I added a page to my website centered around Banana Cinnamon Pancakes (BCP). I did some research online to look at what terms are used a lot on pages about BCP. I added some an image and a recipe for how to make BCP. I tried to make the webpage look as appealing as possible so that it would be visitor friendly.

Week 5
This week I made a completely different layout for my webpage. I was not content with how it looked, so I did some research and looked up colorschemes so that the website would be easier to the eyes. Moreover, I made a sidebar with my icon and a short text. I also made sure all different pages looked the same. Lastly, I made a banner with all my links at the top of my page.
