What Do I Study?
I am in the third year of the Communication and Information Studies (CIS) program at the University of Groningen (RUG). I just completed the minor Media Studies and right now I am starting to write my thesis.
My academic focus is on how language shapes the perception of facts and opinions, particularly in political and social contexts. I’m especially interested in how linguistic formulations, such as adjective positioning and framing, contribute to interpreting statements as facts or opinions.
I am also exploring various communication models in my work, with a focus on persuasive techniques to improve health communication and accessibility for non-Dutch speakers in the context of public services. Whether designing posters, analyzing research methods, or creating digital content, I am always striving to find innovative ways to communicate clearly and effectively.
Aside from my studies, I enjoy working on web design projects and experimenting with ways to make digital communication more interactive and user-friendly. I’m passionate about bridging gaps between complex information and diverse audiences through clear and engaging communication.
