ingredients
- Heavy cream: Cold, straight from the fridge.
- Milk: Whole milk is creamier, but any milk works.
- Sugar: From ½ to ¾ cup, to taste.
- Salt: A pinch balances the sweetness.
- Vanilla: Adds a warm flavor and aroma.
- Chocolate: Traditional stracciatella uses chopped chocolate, but chips work too.
steps
- Ice Bath: Fill a large bowl with ice. Place the Ninja Creami pint in the center, with ice up to the fill line.
- Mix: In a saucepan over low heat, whisk all ingredients (except chocolate) until sugar dissolves.
- Cool: Pour the mixture into the pint container and set it in the ice bath to cool.
- Freeze: Cover and freeze for 24 hours.
- Process: Place the frozen pint in the Ninja Creami and select Ice Cream mode (1-2 minutes).
- Add chocolate: Make a hole in the ice cream, pour in chocolate shavings, and use Mix-In mode.
- Enjoy: Serve your stracciatella ice cream dish immediately or freeze it for later.
