Changes to website
Week 1:
- Starting up with the website.
- I made 4 different pages that I linked to each other with hyperlinks.
- I created one page that can be seen as the homepage. From here you can click on other links to see more information.
- I also made sure that at least one of my pages has a HTML list.
week 2:
- Improved the website by giving it a lay-out.
- Created div blocks to give the pages a more clear and clean look.
- To give colors to the background and text on the pages, I created a stylesheet. On this sheet, I could edit the div blocks.
- Lastly, I created a new page on which I can write down all the changes I make each week.
week 3:
- Cropped the image of myself in GIMP.
- Made a thumbnail version of the cropped image and linked it to the original image on the about me page.
- For the original image, I created an image map. This means that in my image, I linked websites that will show you what my favorites are.
week 4:
- Created a new page called "stracciatella ice cream dish"
- Made a lay-out for the page so that the title for example would stand out with help of an h1 heading and meta description. I also made sure that there was a link to a recipe in the text.
- Added an image to this page that showed a straciatella ice cream dish.
week 5:
- I worked on the overall design of my website and tried to improve some things.
- I created a consistent navigation menu that looks the same on every page of my website. I also made sure that the navigation menu clearly shows you with a different color on which page you are.
- I also made sure that all my text blocks and images are placed inside container divs.
- I made sure that all my pages are centered.
week 6:
- I created a new page for my website on which I made a usability review for Kimia's website
- I added a picture on this page that shows the homepage of Kimia's website and I also placed a link somewhere in my text that links you directly to the website.
