Martin Bailey

Martin is our very own chef here at Batter Up! He owns three restaurants in the city of Groningen and calls himself a real 'stadjer'. This year, Martin will be returning as our host through out the day.

Jeanine Donofrio

Jeanine is the creator of loveandlemons.com. She created the site because she wanted to celebrate how nourishing, fun, and delicious cooking with seasonal fruits and vegetables can be. She hopes by being here, that she can inspire people to try cooking a new vegetable, or try cooking a familiar vegetable in a new way. Ludo Lefebvre

Chef Ludo Lefebvre is one of the most influential chefs in Los Angeles dining, pioneering and revolutionizing the culinary industry. After training in France for 12 years with the great masters, Ludo came to Los Angeles and was soon awarded the prestigious Mobil Travel Guide Five Star Award at two different restaurants, L’Orangerie in 1999 and 2000 and Bastide in 2006. From 2007 to 2012, with his restaurant tour “LudoBites” he became known as the “pop-up king” and has been credited with igniting the phenomenon of the pop-up restaurant and establishing its viability as a business model. Ludo is known as a member of the jury of Masterchef France. And owns his own virtual magazine "Oui Oui Baguette", where he speaks on the best ways to cook with animal organs. Talk about no watse cooking!

Isabel Boerdam

As a nine-year-old girl, Isabel Boerdam, founder of De Hippe Vegetariër, suddenly understood that the pieces of minced meat in her favorite Bolognese pasta came from a cow, after which she decided not to eat animals anymore. Until she was twenty, Isabel's vegetarian diet was not much. She often made dishes that were flavored with cheese or other dairy products, until these high-fat products caused her turn. She wanted to learn how to cook healthier and more creative vegetarian dishes. This is where her journey of discovery began! Do you want to learn more about eating vegetarian? Toby Blake

Toby, a writer for The Carnivore Style wants everyone to experience steaks in the right way. Coming from Jacksonville, Florida, the place to be according to Toby if you want a good steak, he is on the hunt to find the best way to incorporate meat into his diet. Damn Delicious is the online home to Chungagh cooking and wellness blog. On the blog she shares quick and easy recipies that are good for mind, body and soul.These include step-by-step tutorials, and videos showing visitors how they can make quick and easy meals. Besides showing recipies on her site, Changagh also shares the best ways to stay healthy and life that healthy lifestyle!

Tanya Holland

Acclaimed for her inventive take on modern soul food, as well as comfort classics, Tanya Holland is the Executive Chef/Owner of the internationally renowned and beloved Brown Sugar Kitchen restaurant, in Oakland, California. Tanya has appeared in the HBO sho Selena + Chef and is also a fantastic blogger where she combines wine and dine! She has been our inspiration to start our Wine and Dine special, and we are happy that she will finally be joining us!
Now, Tanya will take her love for food with her all the way to Groningen where she will speak along side Chungagh at the Wine and Dine on March 3rd at 16:30.

The 1975

The 1975 are an English pop rock band formed in 2002 in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Now based in Manchester, the band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matthew "Matty" Healy, lead guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross MacDonald, and drummer George Daniel.

The Vices

The Vices is a Dutch rock band from Groningen, formed in 2019. The band consists of Floris van Luijtelaar (vocals/guitar), Jonathan Kruizenga (orgel/guitar), Simon Bleeker (bass) and Mathijs Louwsma (drums).

Beabadoobee

Beatrice Kristi Ilejay Laus, known professionally as Beabadoobee, is a Filipino-British singer-songwriter. From 2018 to 2021, she released five extended plays under the independent label Dirty Hit: Lice (2018), Patched Up (2018), Loveworm (2019), Space Cadet (2019) and Our Extended Play (2021). Her debut studio album, Fake It Flowers, was released in October 2020 and received critical acclaim. Her second studio album, Beatopia, was released on July 15, 2022.
