Creamy Apple Strudel

Ingredients

The following are the steps to make the strudel:

  1. First you should peel, core and cut the apples into small cubes.
  2. Combine the apples with lemon juice, rum, cinnamon, sugar and vanilla extract.
  3. Lay a thin kitchen towel on the counter, sprinkle with flour and start rolling out your puff pastry as thin as you can. Brush it with butter.
  4. Drape the dough over your baking dish so it is covered. Now add your apple filling into the dish and cover the filling with the leftover edges of the dough.
  5. Bake for about 45 minutes until lightly golden on top. Brush the strudel with remaining butter every 15 minutes while in the oven. Once it is done, let it cool for 10 minutes and you now have the perfect creamy apple strudel.
