About Batter Up!

Batter Up! is a Groningen based non-profit organization and territories to make food more widley accessible in the region. Batter Up!'s annual event, Butterfly Festival, will be hosted this year on March 3rd at the De Suiker Events here in Groningen!

Every year, Batter Up! invites several guests to speak on the theme. This year, amateur chefs and professional chefs will be debating on influencers power over the dietary behaviours of their viewers.

Of course we will continue our tradition this year with our live cookingshow; Online vs. Offline: Who is the better chef? This years participants are Ludo Lefebvre, representing the offline side. Taking him on will be food blogger Jeanine Donofrio from loveandlemons.com. This year with a little twist. We are having our chefs cook with left-overs, all on theme to their debate topic where they debate food Tiktoks and how they influence their watchers to waste food for views. But don't you worry, this change won't keep you from trying out the amazing dishes Ludo and Jeanine will make for you as they will be available at the food court. And as always, the show will be hosted by our very own in-house chef and presentor Martin Bailey!
